Permaculture & Primordial Self

There is a worldwide movement of people who care deeply about the Earth and are looking to shift into a new paradigm, interact gently, and in harmony with the land and with one another. Society has tuned out the voice of nature and focused on material wealth and power. How can we sustain a community if we do not have a healthy relationship with ourselves, with one another, and with Spirit?

Permaculture Designer Jennifer Shelhart has dedicated years as a Master Naturalist, Advanced Master Herbalist, Alchemist and Homesteader. She is devoted to radical homemaking, living free of the Joneses, Mom’n outside the box, and home schooling 4 conscious kids.. “I spent my early years on a family farm in the Midwest. There I learned many of the sustainable traditions that I still reference today, to grow on a 3 acre suburban lot in NW Indiana. I’m taking advantage of every bit of space, growing and raising food and medicine each year for our family of six.” Jennifer is the founder of ELEMENTVM, an institute for permaculture and primordial self mastery. The grounds at ELEMENTVM are immersed with the fundamental patterns of nature at every turn, reminding visitors hat all is interconnected. Through coursework students will discover universal principles of whole-systems thinking informed by ethics. By learning these principles, students can acquire valuable thinking tools that help them to become resilient in an era of change.

The ELEMENTVM approach fuses sustainable living practices (care for earth) with personal development teachings (care for people), and reliance training (care for future). Students will learn to mimic the patterns and relationships observed in nature and to apply this approach to all aspects of life, from agriculture to architecture, technology to education and even economics. By adopting the ethics and applying these principles to daily life we can make the transition from being dependent consumers to becoming responsible producers. This journey builds skills and resilience at home and in our local communities that will help us prepare for an uncertain future with a permaculture perspective.

We invite you to come and enjoy the experience, be a part of something bigger than yourself. A journey of empowerment of the highest form, to make a difference in your world.
